An experienced catering, hospitality and recruitment professional, Nik lives and breathes food! Starting work peeling and chipping spuds in a local chip shop at the age of 15, Nik fell in love with the catering industry very quickly. He soon found the restaurant floor and the buzz of the pass were a home from home. Nik was a waiter, cocktail bar tender and would occasionally run a section in the kitchen for both independent and corporate restaurant groups before getting his first restaurant management role at the age of 21. Among other roles, Nik spent 5 years working with Mitchells and Butlers as it is now known, carving a niche for himself managing and helping to open several Browns Restaurants across England before moving into hospitality recruitment in 2004. He moved to Scotland in 2010, has over 25 years experience in the hospitality and recruitment sectors and has won numerous awards for the various teams he has managed. When he is not recruiting chefs, he is either cooking, watching programmes about cooking, thinking about his next meal or doing something musical.
